A benefit concert, “Breathe Deeply-Songs for the Southwards”, will be held for COTA in honor of Chad Southward, a Henrico area man who has received his third double lung transplant at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. The event is planned for Saturday, March 18th., 7:00 pm at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd., Sandston, Va. Funds are being raised to assist with transplant related expenses.
At the age of 2, Chad was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. The Southward family needs an estimated $50,000 to pay their transplant related expenses. For more information about the benefit concert, please contact Wanda Phillips, (804) 564-6237.
