On September 20, 20L5, a benefit golf tournament will be held in order to raise much needed funds fo
Rickie C. Allen who suffered a heart attack on June 20,2OL5 followed by a massive stroke on June 21’t. Until
June Rick was living an active, independent life. He was working full time and enjoyed his job. When not
working, Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed time with his
grandchildren, spoiling them every chance he could.
Due to these two devastating health issues, Rick has lost the use of his right side, which prevents him
from being able complete almost all normal daily activities – bathing; dressing; grooming; eating; walking. His
speech has been impaired as well as his eyesight. He is confined to a wheelchair for most of the day. Rick is
now facing a long and grueling recovery period through physical, occupational and speech therapy. We pray
that he will eventually regain back some of his independence. lt is our ultimate desire for Rick to return
home, but in order for that to happen handicapped accessible modifications must be made to his home. ln
addition, a handicapped accessible van will be required to transport Rick.
We are asking for your help in the form of a raffle prize. We plan to raffle off various items, including
rounds of goll merchandise, etc. We are hoping that you are able to support this benefit tournament on
Rick’s behalf to raise funds to help offset some of these new, unexpected costs. lt would be most appreciated
if you could provide us with complementary round(s) of golf or anything that may be able to help us raise this
money.
