Hey, did you hear about Luke Combs’ dad? So apparently, he was a vegetarian for a lot of years when Luke was a kid. But one day, Luke had enough of it and basically bullied him into eating a steak again.
I know Luke is a big guy and used to play football, but just imagine trying to tell your own dad what he can or can’t eat! That would not fly with my dad, for sure.
To be fair, Luke grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, which he called “The San Francisco of the east coast.” So, being vegetarian wasn’t that unusual there.
But one day, teenage Luke just couldn’t take it anymore. He said, “I was probably 13 or 14 and just had enough. I was putting my fat foot down. I remember going up to him—we had made this steak, and my dad was eating his lentil loaf or whatever.”
Luke looked at his dad and thought, “Man, this guy looks so sad over there.” He was like, “Dad, eat this piece of steak, dude.” And just straight-up called him out. His dad took a bite and never looked back. He definitely didn’t stick to his guns on that one!
