Morgan Wallen has found himself in a situation that he describes as the “dark side of the music industry” as a former manager and investor release a collection of eight unreleased songs on the 10th anniversary of his Stand Alone E-P.
In a release, Morgan explains that he felt that the eight remaining songs from the Stand Alone recordings were terrible since he was an inexperienced songwriter and that many of the songs were not his idea or met his standards. He also said that he had been trying to block the release from happening, to no avail. He adds that in response to the action, he re-recorded “Spin You Around” (available now) and donated $100-thousand to the Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts to help prevent this from happening to other young artists.
The good news is that Morgan also says he’ll be in the studio recording new music in February and he will be the one to let fans know it is available.
