So, during this match at the Country View Golf Club in Lancaster, a freshman from Crandall ISD was trying to retrieve his ball near a water hazard and accidentally fell in. The kicker? He couldn’t swim. Luckily, his playing partner, Angel Lucio, a senior from Ferris High School, heard his cries for help. Without hesitation, Angel sprinted over and pulled him out of the water. Both of them, drenched, decided to continue the game. Angel’s quick thinking earned him the ‘Hero of the Month’ award from the Ferris ISD Police Department. ​
