Update:

On the heels of the surprising arrest of Chris Young following a confrontation with Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents, the singer’s attorney, Bill Ramsey, has released a statement:

“What happened to my client Chris Young at a bar in Nashville on Monday night was wrong and he never should have been arrested and charged in the first place. In light of the video evidence, Tennessee ABC needs to drop the charges and apologize for the physical, emotional and professional harm done towards my client.”

It appears that Monday night’s arrest of Chris Young at Nashville’s DawgHouse Saloon is still under scrutiny, as People has obtained security video from the incident.

As previously reported, Chris was arrested after an alleged altercation with agents from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission who were in the area doing ID and ABC card checks  Chris and his friends supposedly followed the agents to the next venue, DawgHouse, where it was reported that the country artist attempted to block the officials from leaving, which resulted in the altercation.

The video seems to show that Chris did raise his arm to stop the agents, but it also shows the agent pushing the singer away, causing him to fall. Multiple videos show different segments of the incident from different angles.

No official statements have been made by Chris or the TABC.

(Original story) Chris Young was arrested following an incident on Nashville’s popular Demonbreun Hill bar district. According to Rolling Stone, Chris and his friends were approached for an identification check at the Tin Roof night club when he began questioning and filming the agents. Chris and his friends then followed the officials to a neighboring bar and the country star allegedly attempted to bar the agents from exiting. Apparently a confrontation ensued and Chris was placed in handcuffs and detained, then booked into Metro Nashville’s jail until Tuesday morning (January 23rd).

So far, Chris has not commented on the incident.
