George Strait made history on Saturday, when he played Kyle Field at Texas A&M University.  He filled the stadium with 110,905 people, which was the largest ticketed crowd in U.S. history.

The previous record was 107,019.  That’s how many people paid to see the Grateful Dead at Raceway Park in New Jersey in 1977.

Obviously, George also broke the Kyle Field attendance record.  Oh, and he has the record for largest indoor ticketed concert in North America, with 104,793 fans at his AT&T Stadium show in 2014.

Fellow Texas natives Parker McCollum and Catie Offerman opened for George.
